Get To Know Your Doctor: Dr. Meredith Warner
Baton Rouge Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon
Dr. Meredith Warner is a board-certified Orthopedic surgeon, fellowship-trained in complex foot and ankle reconstruction, practicing in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Dr. Warner started her private practice Warner Orthopedics and Wellness in April 2013 and is an expert in general orthopedic medicine, care of the injured worker, the treatment of complex foot and ankle injuries and the non-operative treatment of the spine. She is also an expert in musculoskeletal health and wellness.
Dr. Warner decided to start a private practice as she wanted to offer her patients more complete and holistic methods of healing. Most doctors tend to overlook lifestyle changes when recommending treatment options to patients, but Dr. Warner places an emphasis on natural modalities of healing in her clinic.
She is able to incorporate innovations and knowledge from various fields of medicine and apply those to the treatment of the functional human body for her patients. She does not look at a patient and see just a foot, or just a spine or just a shoulder. She sees the whole person and will work with her patients to fully understand a problem and optimize the solution. Most importantly, she listens to her patients and takes their viewpoints very seriously.
While she also performs orthopedic surgery and prescribes pharmaceuticals where necessary, she has found that many of her patients can overcome pain and improve their overall health with minimally invasive options, lifestyle changes, and other holistic methods of healing.

Upon her arrival to Louisiana, she entered into the executive MBA program at Louisiana State University and completed her degree in the winter of 2010, an essential step in being able to provide her patients with the individualized care available in her private practice today.
An Emphasis On Natural Health + Wellbeing
Dr. Meredith Warner founded The Healing Sole after years of listening to her foot & ankle patients suffering from painful disorders, such as plantar fasciitis, talk about how much they wished they could wear flip flops again. She realized that often medicine missed the mark on what people really needed and what would help them the most.
Rather than focus her practice on injections and surgery for this particular condition, she considered it from a different perspective. Her knowledge of the underlying structures and biomechanics in the foot informed The Healing Sole’s patented design – leading to a flip flop that those with foot pain not only could wear, but from which they would benefit. The Healing Sole is an example of Dr. Warner’s ability to allow her patients to heal themselves without costly and dangerous interventions. The Healing Sole empowers the body to heal itself.
The Healing Sole is designed to naturally offload stress from high-impact areas of the feet while stretching the plantar fascia, muscles, and tendons of the feet to strengthen the overall structure of the foot without resorting to invasive procedures or heavy pharmaceuticals. Each feature of the device works synergistically with the others and an optimal method to lessen the pain and damage of many conditions is the result.
This emphasis on natural methods of healing in lieu of invasive procedures (when appropriate) is the mindset that informed her founding of The Well Theory – a resource and online community that leads to a life lived well. Each product available on the Well Theory website is formulated with powerful, medical-grade ingredients blended with natural botanicals and essential supplements.
In addition to a line of wellness products designed to reduce inflammation + pain, improve mental health, and fill common nutritional gaps, the Well Theory website also includes recipes found on The Herbal Kitchen, and an abundance of resources on the Vibrant Living Blog. She believes that a life lived well can be achieved through small, essential changes to diet, lifestyle, and exercise – and founded Well Theory to bring the resources offered in Warner Orthopedics & Wellness to a wider audience.
Today, Dr. Warner is committed to offering her patients an accurate diagnosis and comprehensive treatment plan in order to get them back to the most functional and best life possible.
