WHAT CAUSES HEEL PAIN?

Dr. Kyle Lindow is a board-certified Podiatrist who joined Warner Orthopedics and Wellness after a rigorous three-year foot and ankle surgical residency program at Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville, TX.

While he is an expert in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, he specializes in conservative therapies that yield lasting results and help patients achieve long-term relief from their foot pain.

He encourages his patients to try treating their heel pain in the most natural way possible by avoiding more risker options like injections, medications, or surgery. He also consults with his diabetic patients to ensure regular foot care is prioritized, to avoid future injuries.

In our clinic, he’s united in our common goal to empower patients with the knowledge and tools to naturally relieve their pain and restore wellness + function.

So, how can we help resolve your heel pain? First, our goal is to understand what causes it in the first place:

Most Common Types Of Heel Pain

foot1

Plantar Fasciitis

This condition is marked by a sharp, stabbing pain in the plantar fascia – the ligament that runs from the heel to the toe and supports the arch of your foot. It often hurts the most after long periods of rest, especially in the mornings.

foot2

Heel Spurs

Heel spurs are calcium deposits that extend from the heel bone. Heel spurs are often caused by injury, trauma, or wearing ill-fitting shoes. Those with heel spurs may experience stabbing sensations in the heel area.

foot3

Tarsal Tunnel

This condition is caused by compression of the posterior tibial nerve in the ankle from genetic issues or injury. Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome causes radiating pain, numbness, and burning throughout the foot.

WHAT ARE YOUR NEXT STEPS FOR HEEL PAIN RELIEF?

FROM AT-HOME SOLUTIONS TO DAILY ON-THE-GO PRACTICES,
WE ARE HERE TO HELP YOU FIND SUCCESSFUL RELIEF.

1. STRETCH YOUR FEET DAILY

Stretching your feet is one of the easiest things you can do to find relief from heel pain! From flexing your toes to rolling your arch on a tennis ball, you can relieve tension any time, anywhere.

2. Pay Attention To Your Footwear.

Custom orthotics and compression socks are great options for improving circulation, providing support, and alleviating pain in the feet!

3. Enjoy a Massage.

Whether you use your hands or a foam roller, massage can help to target the pain in your heel for fast relief and relaxation.

4. eat your colors!

Colorful foods, like bell peppers, berries, and fresh greens, are rich in anti-inflammatory flavonoids that can help to fight pain and swelling.

5. Rest.

After carrying you throughout the day, your feet deserve some much needed downtime. Sit back, prop up your feet, and let them recoup.

UPDATE YOUR FOOT PAIN TREATMENT METHODS

IT’S EASY TO GET STUCK IN OLD WAYS OF TREATING PAIN.
IT’S TIME TO MAKE ROOM FOR THE NEW WAYS OF HEALING.

Out With The Old

Surgery, injections, NSAIDs pain medications, and more –

It’s time to leave these risky, expensive, ineffective, time-consuming, and painful methods of recovery in the past.

Steroid Injections are typically a band-aid solution – often times leading to negative long-term issues like plantar fascial ruptures, plantar fat pad atrophy and/or nerve damage.

In With The New

Refresh and reset your treatment habits with solutions that keep up with you, no matter how busy your lifestyle is.

The Healing Sole and Well Theory are designed to deliver successful relief from pain, no invasive or expensive treatment methods required.

WE'RE HERE TO HELP YOU REALIZE YOUR HEALTH GOALS

Dr. Meredith Warner founded her private practice according to her beliefs that functional medicine, or functional wellness, should be blended with conventional Orthopedic medicine.

At Warner Orthopedics & Wellness, we believe that good medicine should be proactive and encompass the whole of you and your body’s systems.

How We Support You On Your Wellness Journey:
Functional healing focuses more on supporting an already healthy lifestyle – or adapting routines to create a healthier way of living – instead of merely responding to illness and injury with treatments designed to only address symptoms.

At our clinic, we believe that you are ultimately in charge of accomplishing your health goals. We just give you the tools and resources you need to get started towards a path to better overall wellness.

We believe that you should be empowered in your health journey.

If surgery is required, we will give you the tools you need to recover faster and better than prior to the injury.
