1. eat a well balanced diet

Eating and maintaining a balanced diet is key to your overall health.  Choose a diet that includes lots of fruit, vegetables, whole grains and a moderate amount of unsaturated fats, meat and dairy. Dr. Warner recommends the Mediterranean diet. Don’t forget to limit your sugar intake and alcohol in moderation.

2. Maintain a healthy weight

Exercising regularly and being physically active is part of maintaining a healthy weight.  You can walk your dog, run outside, or even workout at home.  Not only is exercise good for maintaining a healthy weight, exercise is also tied to your immunity!

3. stay hydrated

Drinking water regularly helps you stay healthy. It’s recommended that men drink 13 cups (about 3 liters) of water each day. Women are recommended to drink 9 cups (just over 2 liters) of water each day. Go easy on the alcohol and stay away from sugary drinks, like soda, juices, and sports drinks.

4. Get a good night's sleep

There is a very strong connection between sleep quality and quantity and your immune system and health. You can keep your immune system functioning properly by getting seven to eight hours of sleep each night. Keep to a regular sleep schedule, make sure to regulate your stress levels, and avoid blue light or screen time at least an hour before bed.  You can also try Dr. Warner’s Restful Sleep Gummies which aids in sleep and are anti-inflammatory.
