Your Options For Facial Rejuvenation

Your Options For Facial Rejuvenation
September 8, 2021EducationMedical Articles

At Warner Orthopedics & Wellness, our goal is to help you feel your best – and that includes aesthetic wellness as well. We work with Smooth by Sarah (Sarah Balladares PA-C) to give you the very best in high quality and evidence-based aesthetic techniques.

Here are some of the options we offer in our clinic for facial rejuvenation:

Dermal Fillers

As we age, the face can begin to show signs of volume loss, wrinkling, or sagging around the mouth, nose, and in the cheeks. This volume loss is actually loss of fat from underneath the skin. The volume of fat loss is predictable based on age and has been studied extensively.

Dermal fillers help fill volume loss and smooth out imperfections for a more youthful, natural appearance.

Dermal fillers are generally made with hyaluronic acid, which naturally draws moisture to the collagen beneath the skin. This keeps it looking supple and moisturized for subtle results. The fillers also stimulate collagen production by your own cells and this allows a long-acting effect.

Treatment areas: Face (upper, mid or lower), Brows, Undereyes, Nose, Crow’s Feet, and Lips

Botox

Botox is one of the most well-known facial rejuvenation treatments – used typically for erasing wrinkles and fine lines. However, Botox is a versatile tool that can even prevent migraines and muscle spasms.

Botox is technically a neurotoxin and it is found in nature. We assure you, this sounds a lot scarier than it naturally is.

This toxin is used to create an FDA-approved injection that freezes muscle tissue at the site of injection. By preventing the muscle from contracting, the skin located above this muscle will not move either; this stops the formation of fine lines and wrinkles!

In addition to minimizing the sign of lines and aging, Botox injections can be used in other areas to help control painful muscle contractures and for fighting chronic migraines.

Treatment areas: Face (upper, mid and lower), Armpits (hyperhidrosis), Acne, Neck, and Scalp
