CBD VS THC For Stress

CBD VS THC For Stress

CBD or THC for Stress Relief?

If you’re experiencing stress and looking for a natural method of relief – you may find yourself wondering about THC and CBD. They’re both from the same plant, so what’s the difference?

As it turns out, there are a few key differences, especially when it comes to stress management.

CBD and THC are both isomers. They share the same chemical makeup as other chemical structures, allowing them to bind to receptors in the endocannabinoid system.  CBD and THC are phytocannabinoids, while anandamide and 2-AG are endocannabinoids.    Endocannabinoids are synthesized by our own bodies.  The phytocannabinoids simply match the same receptors.

While they’re both isomers, they bind differently to these receptors that regulate your central nervous system and your responses to external stresses.

Therefore, they can both reduce pain or discomfort from physical conditions and improve your quality of sleep.

One of the major differences between these two is that CBD does not cause the same psychoactive effects like THC. But, CBD does have some psychoactive properties, although its main distinction from THC is that it doesn’t impair your mind or body’s function.

In fact, if CBD and THC are taken at the same time, then the CBD will block the THC from taking all the available receptors, thus negating some of those more psychoactive effects from THC.

Those psychoactive effects from high doses of THC can include anxiety and panic attacks that may result in hospitalization. That’s why the combination is so important.  It is always advisable to check with your personal physician prior to taking any psychoactive substances.

This pair works together well in products like Dr. Warner’s Delta-8 Gummies. These gummies may potentially put you in a state of euphoria with the stress reducing benefits of CBD – so your chances of feeling that added paranoia or anxiety is significantly lowered.  Again, there are no placebo-controlled studies on this as of yet.

Stress Relief With Well Theory

Dr. Warner has developed several other CBD products that can help alleviate symptoms of stress.

Well Theory’s CBD Oil Tincture is great for both mental and physical health. It contains 25mg of broad spectrum CBD in each serving to help with stress and your inflammatory response, therefore reducing pain as well.

Well Theory also includes a softgel option for full spectrum CBD. These softgels are tasteless and easy to digest and absorb.

If stress is affecting your sleep, you may consider Dr. Warner’s Sleep + Repair Gummy with CBD, Tart Cherry Extract, Chamomile and GABA. All these ingredients work together to relieve stress and improve your sleep cycles.

So, options for CBD products at Well Theory are one less thing to stress about! It’s just a matter of choosing the best method for you.
